Alison Doody

Alison Doody (born 11 November 1966) is a famous Irish actress and model. She made her film debut with a tiny part in Bond film A View to a Kill (1985) she was later cast to appear as a anti-Nazi archaeologist Elsa Schneider, in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989). Siobhan Doovan portrayed Charlotte as Taffin in 1988. Rebecca Flannery starred in Major League II in 1994. Doody began modelling after being invited by an experienced photographer. This led to a successful career as a commercial model. Doody was adamantly against glamour and sexually explicit work. This was a policy allowed her to pursue an acting profession. When she was spotted by the director of casting in an upcoming James Bond movie, she was cast of A View to a Kill as Jenny Flex. Doody appeared in John Willis Screen World Volume 2, as one 12 promising actors to be cast in 1986. 38. Only 18 years old as she played the film, Doody was, and still is the youngest Bond girl that has ever appeared. A Prayer for the Dying which starred Mickey Rourke also had a performance by Doody, playing IRA Siobhan. Doody had a non-speaking role in the 1987 television adaptation of The Secret Garden appearing as Archibald Craven's wife Lilias in a dream. In a Jim Henson fantasy episode The Storyteller in 1988, Doody played Sapsorrow along with John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. Her first appearance was in the film Taffin opposite Pierce Brosnan. Next, she portrayed Dr. Elsa Schneider as an Austrian archaeologist, Nazi-sympathizer, and antagonist to Harrison Ford. In the film, she also appeared alongside Sean Connery as Indy's father Doody has acted alongside three actors who have portrayed James Bond. Doody starred alongside Jonathan Pryce as Hitler Diaries, a British mini-series based on Hitler Diaries. The actress later relocated to Hollywood. She replaced Cybill Shepherd in the L'Oreal spokesperson part. She then played Flannery Sheen's lover and agent, opposite Charlie Sheen, as Major League II came out in 1994. Doody's return to the screen was in 2003, when Michael Caine played Doody in a short role. In 2004, she starred in a film with Patrick Swayze as a television adaptation of King Solomon's Mines. She also appeared as a character in Benjamin's Struggle, a 2005 booklet on the Holocaust. in 2010 Doody shot a part on Danny Dyer's feature film The Rapture (2010). Doody was later a guest on RTE's medical drama The Clinic and was set to star in a 2011 remake of the classic horror film The Asphyx but the project ended up being cancelled. Her first two seasons of the E4 comedy Beaver Falls in 2011 as Pam Jefferson. In 2014 she appeared in We Still Kill the Old Way.
